The title of this post may be deceiving, because it has been unbelievably hot, but we had a rainy day yesterday, so I wore my comfy cardigan & my tall boots to embrace the fact that I wouldn't sweat my bum off by doing so. 

But, {there's a lot of "big butts" in this post. Hahaha, I'm punny. ;) } fall is indeed coming! Maybe not as quickly as I'd like, but it is, & that's all I need to be satisfied. :)

So, I don't have a head in any of these pictures..Oh well.

I really like mixing different kinds of pieces, like with this outfit I mixed the edgy, strappy heels & the sharp black blazer {even the necklace can be considered a bit more "dangerous"} with this super girly & frilly lace dress with a satin bow in the front. I think they even each other out really well & I love this outfit :) & those heels {Ahem, that I bought at a thrift store for $6!} are the most comfortable pair of heels I have ever worn. 

Self Timer

So, first of all: these pictures are terrible. I put the timer on in my living room & they just didn't turn out good at all {& that second picture is the blurriest thing I've ever seen!}, but I really wanted to do an outfit post today, so I thought "what the heck?" & pressed the timer button. Anywhooo, another funny thing about these pictures: I'm not wearing any jewelry! I have yet to unpack my jewelry & have been totally bling-less since Thursday. It's probably the biggest bummer of all time, but tonight I am doing some serious unpacking/organizing because I just can't live out of boxes anymore!

So about the outfit, I have actually worn this outfit before {I know, fashion no no} but I didn't do an outfit post about it, I just have some pictures in it {See here}. These are my first pair of jeggings & I was always sooo against them, I thought they were dumb & ugly. Now I think differently. Ha. I really like the denim color of the shirt & how it kind of switches the look around {as you would normally wear a black cotton shirt & denim jeans, see what I'm saying?}. It's super comfortable & casual, but is appropriate for plenty of different occasions.

Now, I did take one other picture that I edited a little bit & I can't decide if it's creepy or cool. You decide:

guys! it's summer!!!

I'm so psyched that it's summer. School was stressin' me out! So happy it's over for awhile. I am working now, as you saw in my last post. It's a lot different from any job I've ever had because it's an office job & I've only worked in restaurants, so I'm adapting to all the "sitting" rather than running around wiping down tables & stuff. 

I like it more, I think.

The Del

We went to one of our family's faaavorite spots in the world. The Hotel Del Coronado :)

It's a 124 year old hotel on Coronado Island. It's absolutely gorgeous. Seriously, I could live there & never complain about a single thing for the rest of my life. We have visited & stayed there many times in the past & this year we stayed in San Diego rather than Coronado Island, but we just had to visit The Del. 

I always feel fancy here ;)

We went to Moo Time, a.k.a. the most delicious ice cream place ever {or maybe it has something to do with eating it with my favorite people in my favorite place....maybe}

It was a super fun weekend & *drumroll, please* this was the last weekend of traveling for  hopefully a long time. Sounds silly, I mean I'm doing all these fun things & going to all these fun places & I'm complaining about it? Yep. I'm wiped out. Completely & totally drained from traveling. I'm pretty sure that combined I've spent like a week driving the past couple months. I'm absolutely thrilled to be staying home this coming weekend. 

When it rains, it pours..well, at least in San Diego it does

I know you can't tell in these pictures, {that's mostly because it hadn't really started yet} but it was absolutely pouring in San Diego on Friday. Seriously, like hurricane status. It was really cold & wet. Everything you'd expect on a vacation to Southern California, yes? {NOT!}

But anyway, these were taken in Old Town San Diego. We were planning to spend a lot more time there to shop & such but, let's get real, besides eating lunch, most of the time there was spent trying to find shelter from the rain.

It's not bad or anything, I just can't wait until I get over the fear of walking around campus in heels. Whether it's my feet aching all day or me tripping {probably more than once} I just get scared & chicken out. Just about every morning I think "today's the day! I'm going to wear those pumps & I'm gonna work it!" & then I am about to walk out the door & turn around to throw on comfy boots. I'm just pathetic, I know. One day, my friends. One day.

Guy Style.

Basically, I love this outfit. I've realized that simpler outfits are my favorite, this one has almost a guy style. I feel like they're more put together & anyone can pull them off. {I really need a gold watch, that would really make this my favorite outfit!} & these pants are so comfortable! Plus, they're this velvet-y material that is so soft, I just love 'em. :)

This weekend I'm going to Anaheim, CA for my high school's dance team's national competition. From what I hear we're going to stop at the beach & spend some time in Downtown Disney/California Adventures. I'm pretty dang pumped! The next few weekends are going to be pretty eventful, so hopefully I can manage to capture some of it on camera to show you!

Just Hanging Out In a Retirement Community

 This is like the third flowy blouse I've bought like this. They're all a little different, but they're the same material & kind of fit the same way. When I bought the first one I was just kind of taking a chance because wasn't like anything I've ever owned before. But they're my three favorite shirts now..Funny how that works. :P

These pictures were taken at my Grandma's retirement community in Arizona when I visited for Spring Break. I actually had to crop a whole group of senior citizens out of the background of one of them...I just thought it was kinda funny.. haaa

This Mustard Yellow Dress..

 I got this mustard yellow dress at the pier on Balboa beach. I've always been a bit sketchy of whether I can pull off the "high-low" kind of skirt, but I just loved this dress, so who cares?

Awkward & Awesome Thursday

I didn't even realize how many "gifts/ hand-me-downs" I was wearing today! How funny..

Awkward:

•That last picture & how blurry it is. 

•When I see someone I know from really far away & make eye contact but take a second to react & wave, but they looked away already, so I'm sitting there smiling & waving at nothing. {Why they didn't smile &/or wave, too is a mystery..guess I'm not as well-liked as I thought. Sad.}

•The kiss Amanda showed me on Netflix..

•How messy my room can get in such a short amount of time. It's seriously ridiculous. 

•Taking a test & looking up for a second & the professor is staring RIGHT at me. Extremely awkward & makes me nervous because I don't want to look suspicious of cheating or something, but of course, this makes me look more suspicious. 

•Going hot tubbing & realizing that my stomach, that used to be one step away from black, is the whitest thing I've ever seen. 

•Sneaking around in the morning while Amanda is sleeping, it ends up being much much louder than if I would have just been getting ready like normal. I'm not very sneaky. 

•Being the only girl watching Bad Girls Club with a room full of guys yelling "whoa. she is HOT!" It was definitely funny, but just a little awkward. 

Awesome:

•The random Chinese Buffet visits that Joey & I make. So fun.

•The insane amount of pin boards I made today on Pinterest, you should seriously check it out, I went crazy. Ha

•I finished all my homework before 5pm yesterday!

•College. Period.

•The fact that every single time I go into the second floor of the library, no matter how crowded it is, my favorite spot is always open! {& yes, I do realize that I may have just jinxed it}

•I get to write a 10 page paper on makeup. Like, seriously. Awesome, right?

•The video Suzie sent me of Bryan's "Hump & Lead Day". Basically made my whole life just then.

•When I made the realization that since it is "Awkward & Awesome Thursday" it means that tomorrow is Friday! Whooo!
